Ghanaian defender Andy Yiadom has signed a contract extension with Reading FC.
The versatile defender has signed a new one-year deal with the Championship Club until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Yiadom has made over 200 appearances for Reading since joining the side from Barnsley in 2018.
“We are delighted to confirm that club captain Andy Yiadom has signed a new one-year deal with the club.”
“After enduring an injury hit season in 2024/25, 'Yids' is now fit, raring to going, and looking forward to getting back into the blue and white hoops.”
Reading manager Noel Hunt has made retaining key players a priority as the club looks to push for promotion back to the Championship.
Hunt has this to say after Yiadom signed the dotted lines: "Yids' impact both on and off the pitch is second to none, and we are delighted to have him signed up for another season.
Club Chairman, Rob Couhig, commented: "We are truly excited to have Andy extend his career with the Club. The last year of rehabilitation has been difficult. However, he demonstrated he is a true professional. He worked hard, supported his teammates, and demonstrated a commitment to his craft. He seems ready to go and we are certainly ready to have him helping the club reach its goals.
The Ghana international has 26 caps for the Black Stars.
