Ghana’s junior swimming team has left Accra for Cairo, Egypt, to compete in the Africa Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships, scheduled from April 30 to May 4, 2025.
The delegation is led by Mrs. Delphina Quaye, President of the Ghana Swimming Association and recently elected Board Member of the Ghana Olympic Committee.
Coaching the team is Kenneth Ankrah, who will oversee the swimmers’ preparations and performances.
Representing Ghana at the championships are swimmers Yemen Cornie, Oduma Agyei, Michael Crabb-Mann, and Johnson Gyarko.
Ms. Farida, Treasurer of the Ghana Swimming Association, expressed confidence in the team’s prospects, stating that the swimmers have trained diligently and are well-prepared for the competition.
In related news, Mohammed Muniru, Secretary of the Ghana Swimming Association, has been elected as the new Secretary General of the Ghana Olympic Committee.
