Medeama SC have named Technical Director Augustine Evans Adotey as interim head coach following the departure of Nebojsa Kapor.
Adotey, who led the Mauves and Yellows to their Ghana Premier League title in the 2022/23 season, will step in temporarily until a permanent replacement is appointed.
Kapor’s exit comes after Medeama suffered a 3-2 defeat to Vision FC in Tema, leaving them fifth on the league table.
The club revealed on Tuesday that "both parties failed to reach an agreement on contract renewal."
Despite being just three points behind the top spot with 21 points from 13 matches, Medeama’s inconsistent performances this season prompted the mutual decision to part ways with Kapor.
Adotey’s return to the dugout brings a wealth of experience and familiarity, as the club looks to stabilize their campaign and reignite their title ambitions.
The focus now shifts to securing a permanent head coach, while Adotey prepares the squad for their upcoming clash against Karela United.
