Black Stars captain, Thomas Partey, has praised the current squad's talent as they prepare for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Arsenal midfielder made his comments ahead of Ghana's opening match at the Baba Yara Stadium today against Angola. They will then face Niger in their second Group F fixture in Berkane, Morocco.
In an interview with SuperSport, the 30-year-old expressed confidence in his teammates and their skills, urging Ghanaians to rally behind the team.
“I believe in all the players that have come to the team. They are young with quality and I think what they need is our support and the support of every Ghanaian,” he said.
“Whoever wears, the jersey, we have to give him the best of support because I know and I see it from training and I am really sure it is going to be massive for the country and it is going to bring more players who are willing to play for Ghana,” the former Atletico Madrid midfielder added.
The Ghana vs. Angola match is set to kick off at 16:00 GMT.
