Dear Editor, The environs of the Tema Sports Stadium is an eyesore and something needs to be done about the situation immediately.
The surroundings of the stadium have been littered with rubbish, especially plastic materials.
This rubbish has found its way into the gutters around the area which can lead to flooding when there is heavy rainfall.
Some women who smoke fish around the stadium always burn the fish cartons beside the walls of the stadium.
Since Ghana is celebrating its Jubilee, as well as preparing for the Africa Nations Cup, I wish to plead with the Tema Municipal Assembly (TMA) to organise frequent clean-up exercises in and around the sports stadium to rid the area of filth.
The TMA should also insist that after their sales, those who sell sachet water around the stadium should pick up all empty sachets.
