Dutch football star Memphis Depay has expressed a strong desire to give back to Ghana after visiting the Ashanti Kingdom and meeting with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
In a tweet following their meeting, Depay shared a photo of himself dressed in traditional kente cloth alongside the Asante king.
"Wisdom and motivation. I wanna contribute to my people," Depay wrote as a caption to the photo.
The Atlético Madrid forward has made multiple visits to Ghana and has been donating to some less-privileged people across the country, making it his second home.
Details of his meeting with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II were not made public, but Depay said he was grateful for the opportunity.
