The Ghana Police Service has foiled an attempted robbery at a branch of GCB Bank in Labone, Accra.
Two suspected armed robbers were shot dead while another suspect was arrested during the operation on Thursday, August 13.
“The Ghana Police Service today 13th August, 2026, foiled a robbery attempt on the GCB Bank, Labone Accra,” the Service said in a social media post.
The Service did not immediately provide details on how the robbery attempt unfolded or the identities of the suspects.
It also did not disclose whether any police officers or members of the public were injured during the operation.
The Police said additional information would be released in due course.
