
The Ghana Police Service has foiled an attempted robbery at a branch of GCB Bank at Labone in Accra.
The incident occurred on Thursday, August 13, 2026, according to the Police Service.
In a brief statement, the Police said two suspected robbers were shot dead during the operation, while a third suspect was arrested.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, including whether the suspects engaged the Police in a gun battle.
The Police have yet to disclose the identities of the suspects or indicate whether the robbers succeeded in taking any money from the bank.
