Imurana Abdul Karim, better known by his stage name Capasta, has taken the Norwegian second division by storm in his new role as head coach of IK Junkeren football club.
The Ghanaian musician, who rose to fame with his 2014 hit song "Telemo" featuring fellow artist Gasmilla, made a surprise turn after obtaining his FIFA coaching license.
He signed a contract with Junkeren on February 1, 2023 to coach the club.
In his first season, Capasta has led the IK Junkeren squad to an impressive fourth place in the league table, halfway of the season.
This continues the singer-cum football manager’s remarkable record as a youth coach - he has won a total of nine titles with under-13 teams in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and France.
He continues to balance his two careers, as he is said to have released a studio album, dubbed "It's Time" in February 2023.
