Having impressed throughout the qualifiers and preparatory games, the Black Galaxies failed to impress.
The team opened their tournament with a shocking defeat against Madagascar in their Group C opener.
In their second group game, the team fought back to record a 3-1 win against Sudan.
With Morocco pulling out of the tournament, Ghana qualified for the next round with six points.
The Black Galaxies faced Niger in their quarterfinal game over the weekend.
The team suffered a 2-0 defeat against their West African neighbours at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium in Oran.
However, reports have emerged that Annor Walker has been sacked as the head coach of the team.
It is expected that his two assistant coaches, Prosper Narteh Ogum and Bismark Kobby Mensah are also expected to follow.
