Hearts of Oak have confirmed the signing of midfielder Eric Esso from AshantiGold SC ahead of the 2022/23 Ghana football season.
The 28-year-old has penned a three-year deal that will keep him in the capital until 2025.
"We are happy to announce the signing of our latest addition to the Phobia squad. Welcome, Eric Esso," a club statement read.
Esso becomes the 'Phobians' sixth signing so far after Junior Kaaba, Eric Ofori Antwi, Zakari Yakubu, Wisdom Bumekpor, and Central African International Yassan Ouatching.
The enterprising midfielder has been outstanding for AshantiGold SC since joining them in 2020 and the just-ended season was no exception.
He will join the team's preseason very soon and is expected to serve as a replacement for Abdul Aziz Nurudeen who is currently injured.
Hearts of Oak are hoping to build a very formidable side for the new season as they set sights on a decent campaign in both the league and CAF Confederations Cup.
The Phobian Club open their Ghana Premier League season with an away game against Aduana Stars.
