Former Asante Kotoko striker, Dauda Mohammed has been handed his maiden Black Stars call-up to feature for Ghana in the upcoming matches in the qualifiers for the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The player currently plays his football for Cartagena FC in the Spanish Segunda Liga.
This season, the young striker scored nine goals and provided one assist after making 35 appearances for the Spanish club.
Impressed with the displays of Dauda Mohammed, the technical team of the Black Stars has invited the striker for the upcoming international assignment.
He will be part of the Ghana squad that plays in the AFCON qualifying matches and the scheduled friendly games.
“INTERNATIONAL | Mo Dauda has been called up by the Ghana senior team for the matches against Madagascar, the Central African Republic, Japan, and Chile (the first two officials),” part of a post on the Twitter page of Cartagena FC has said.
The first of the upcoming Ghana matches against Madagascar will be played on June 1, 2022.
