Free-scoring Ghanaian striker, Christabel Oppong Oduro is ready to switch nationality from Canada to play for Ghana’s women national team, Modernghana Sports can report.
This has been confirmed by Alberto A. Larrea who is the football agent of the highly-rated forward.
Currently based in Iceland, Christabel Oppong Oduro plays for Grindavík. During the 2021 football season, she was a star for his team and finished the campaign as one of the league’s most prolific attackers.
That season, the experienced forward netted 14 goals for her club after making 17 appearances.
Although she has in the past made an appearance for the Canadian national team, Christabel Oppong Oduro dreams of playing for Ghana’s Black Queens and has now decided to pursue that dream.
She already holds a Ghanaian passport and is pushing to earn an invite to the Ghana women’s national team to use her quality to help the Black Queens.
Check out some amazing displays from Christabel Oduro from the 2021 season in the Icelandic league.
