The Black Princesses on Thursday continued preparation for the second leg encounter of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Uganda.
The Princesses have yet to lose a game in the qualifiers having gone three matches without defeat. Ghana drew goalless with Zambia and beat them 1-0 in the 2nd leg at home during the first round of qualifiers. The team now holds a 2-1 advantage from the 1st leg in Uganda and Coach Ben Fokuo wants to ensure that Ghana record the double against the Young Cranes on Saturday.
“We have been preparing hard since we came to Cape Coast. We had a training match against Combined Forces and you can clearly tell that the girls are ready for the task ahead” Ben Fokuo told ghanafa.org
“We missed our skipper, Evelyn Badu in the first leg but she is back for the return fixture. The team is poised for action and I believe in them to get all maximum points” he added.
The game is scheduled for 3pm kick-off at the Cape Coast sports stadium on February 5, 2022.
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is slated for Costa Rica in August 2022.
