Ghana sensation, Kamaldeen Sulemana scored on his French Ligue 1 debut today when he equalized to help Stade Rennais FC to draw 1-1 against Lens at the Roazhon Park.
The talented teenager signed for the French outfit this summer in a deal that cost the club over 20 million Euros to secure his services from Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjaelland.
After impressing during pre-season, Kamaldeen Sulemana today earned a spot on the Stade Rennais FC starting eleven when the team hosted Lens on the opening weekend of the 2021/2022 French Ligue 1 season.
Although new to the league, it took just 14 minutes for the exciting forward to find the back of the net.
He latched onto a pass from Flavien Tait and used his pace to good use before cutting in on his right to curl one into the top corner to give the host team the lead.
Going on to play 58 minutes of the game, Kamaldeen Sulemana bowed out with a high rating of 7.2 with fans elated with his performance in the 1-1 draw.
During today’s game, Seko Fofana scored in the 19th minute to cancel the strike from Kamaldeen Sulemana to ensure his Lens outfit merited a point at the end of the game.
