
German-born Ghanaian international, Gideon Jung has sealed a move to German Bundesliga newcomers Greuther Fürth, Modernghana Sports can report.
The utility player who can also play as a midfielder in the early hours of Tuesday, June 29, 2021, had his mandatory medical examination ahead of an anticipated move that would see him leave Hamburg SV.
With the results of his medicals coming back successfully, Gideon Jung has been signed on a two-year contract by Greuther Fürth ahead of the upcoming football season.
“SPVGG GREUTHER FÜRTH has signed defensive all-rounder Gideon Jung. The 26-year-old receives a two-year contract with the Kleeblatt.
“Gideon Jung comes to Fürth with 78 Bundesliga games and 55 second division games in his luggage,” the German Bundesliga club has announced this afternoon.
The versatile player has joined Greuther Fürth after partying ways with Hamburg SV. He was a key asset for the side in the last few seasons but now looks forward to helping his new club do well in the German top-flight league.
