The B national of team of Ghana on Friday, March 26, 2021, lost 2-1 to Uzbekistan in a friendly encounter.
Nicknamed the Black Stars B, the West Africa side traveled to the Asian country earlier this week for the friendly match in the international break.
Having locked horns with the opponent at the Markaziy Stadium today, Ghana trailed after just four minutes into the first half when midfielder Otabek Shukurov scored to give the home team the advantage.
Although the Black Stars B will fail to get back into the game before the break, the team had a breakthrough and drew level in the 72nd minute when teenager Abdul Fatawu Issahaku found the back of the net.
The Ghana U-20 star accepted responsibility for a free-kick and scored with a thunderbolt strike.
Unfortunately, the Stars could not hold on and conceded four minutes later as Jaloliddin Masharipov scored to power Uzbekistan to an eventual 2-1 win at the end of the game.
