Highly-rated midfielder, David Abagna Sandan netted a brace on Friday afternoon to help his Ashanti Gold SC side to hammer Aduana Stars 4-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
The midfielder today earned a starting role for the Miners when they hosted the side from Dormaa at the Len Clay Sports Stadium on matchday 15 of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league season.
Excelling in his role, David Abagna displayed his goal-scoring prowess in the second half when he found the back of the Aduana Stars net twice.
First, the midfielder fired in from close range in the 64th minute before scoring again in the 90th minute.
With additional first-half goals from Frank Akoto and Yaw Annor, Ashanti Gold SC has cruised to a massive 4-0 win to end their 6-game winless run in the Ghana Premier League.
As a result of today’s victory, the Miners have moved from the bottom half of the league table and now sit 6th on the standings.
