Ajax Wonderkid Brian Brobbey Declares Readiness To Play For Black Stars

Dutch-born Ghanaian forward, Brian Brobbey has officially written to the Ghana Football Association on his readiness to play for the country's senior national team, the Black Stars according to Sportsworldghana.com.

The Ajax wonderkid was born and raised in the Dutch to Ghanaian parents but has said that he is ready to don the colours of the West African country.

The 18-year old striker has represented the Netherlands at the various youth national team levels but has opted to play for his motherland at the senior national level.

According to report, the teenage sensation together with his senior brother Derrick Luckassen of RSC Anderlecht fame officially wrote to the country’s football governing body last year to commence documentation to declare them eligible to play for the four-time African champions.

The duo has been in the plans of Ghana coach CK Akonnor in his quest to build a winsome side for the country.

However, their decision to represent the Black Stars comes as a huge boost for the trainer and country at large.

Brobbey has been in scintillating for Ajax in the ongoing campaign, scoring five goals in eight games for the Reserve side in the Eerste Divisie

He scored on his first senior team appearance for Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday as they demolished Fortuna Sittard 5-2 at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
