Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, William Opoku Mensah has revealed that he has not given up on teaching and will in the future return to the classroom to continue the profession.
The former Karela United goal poacher joined the Porcupine Warriors as a free in January this year after returning to Ghana on the back of an uneventful spell in the United States with Swope Park Rangers.
During his playing days in Karela United, he was combining teaching with playing football with his degree in Health, Christian Education, and Recreation.
Now playing for Asante Kotoko, William Opoku Mensah says he wants to stay for a long time but will also love to continue his teaching in the future.
“I have not closed my doors to the teaching profession. I have plans to return to the classroom. I cannot tell exactly when but it would happen before I retire from football”, the striker said in an interview on the Kotoko Express App.
He added, “I enjoy teaching, which is why I was able to combine it with football while at Karela".
In the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season, William Opoku Mensah has played 8 matches and has chipped in with 2 goals in Red colours.
