PEACE
A Message for Peace from a Daughter of Bawku.
I am just a voice, but I carry the silence of many,
The silence of children who no longer laugh,
Of mothers who live in fear,
Of youth buried too soon.

Bawku is my mother's land.
It should be a place of stories – not sorrow.
A place of drums and dances – not gunfire and grief.

The fight for kingship has lost its truth.
What is a throne worth
If it sits on the pain of your people?

To our leaders, I beg;
Let your pride rest – and let peace rise.
No crown is greater than a child's life,
No history should write off the future.

To the youth;
Hold on to hope, not hatred.
Let us be the generation that breaks the cycle.

And to the world;
Don't look away.
Bawku needs peace – not pity.
Justice – not judgement.

I still believe, my people.
I still believe that peace is possible
But we must choose it now.
