Popular Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, widely known as Blaqbonez, has shared his thoughts on the reality of living and retiring in Nigeria.
Speaking during a recent appearance on 'The Zeze Millz Show', the rapper acknowledged that while the country is chaotic, it remains home, though traveling abroad reveals the stark gap between Nigeria and developed nations.
Blaqbonez stated that he doubts any successful individual would choose to spend their retirement years in Nigeria, suggesting there might only be a few exceptions.
Describing his own ideal retirement plan, he revealed that it involves moving to a massive ranch to raise animals, a lifestyle he does not associate with his home country.
He said:
"Nigeria is hectic, but it is still home. When you go to other countries, you will realise how far we are from where we should be."
"I don’t think that there is any successful person who wants to live in Nigeria after retirement. Maybe there are some people."
