Veteran media personality Gbadewonuola Olateju Oyelakin, popularly known as Teju Babyface, has paid an emotional tribute to the late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, known as Toluwanisings.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, the host of The Teju Babyface show, shared a clip of the late singer on his show, while expressing gratitude for the honour of sharing a platform with the singer.
Teju Babyface described it as an eternal privilege and honour to have been given the chance to sing and sit with the late singer, referring to him as a brother.
He thanked him for the dignity he carried, offering prayers in Yoruba for the Creator to hold and strengthen those shattered by his death, and for comfort for his wife and children.
He wrote:
"It will remain an eternal privilege and honor to have been given the honor to sing and sit with you brother. Thank you for the dignity. Ọlọrun a tẹ ẹ si afẹfẹ rẹrẹ. Gbogbo eyi to fi si'lẹ ko ni baje. May the Creator hold, strengthen and keep the ones whom your death has shattered at this time. Igbega, ori ire ati itesiwaju fun Iyawo ati awọn ọmọ. Ọlọrun o ni fi wọn si'lẹ. Rest in peace my brother. We lost another priceless one but the unknowable mysteries gained a titan."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that anxiety began in the early hours of Wednesday after reports of Toluwanisings' death surfaced on social media. His close associates and colleagues initially denied it, urging everyone to stay calm and pray for a miracle.
Unfortunately, the singer's death was confirmed by his family on his verified Instagram page in the late hours of Wednesday, with the announcement stating that he passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
