Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has defended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, stating that the President is on the right track despite the challenges facing the country.
He made his stance known during an interview with actress Biola Bayo.
Kosoko argued that things are not as bad as people make them out to be, questioning what critics were eating before Tinubu assumed office.
He clarified that he is not claiming the situation is perfect, acknowledging that there are many issues at hand, but maintained that the President is fixing them.
The actor also urged beneficiaries of the President's initiatives for students to speak out, noting that Tinubu's opponents know the truth but have allowed ambition to cloud their judgment. He insisted that the President is moving in the right direction.
He said:
"Things aren't as bad as people make them out to be. I am hungry; check most of those people. Before Tinubu came, what were they eating?"
"Don't get me wrong, I am not saying things are rosy; there are too many issues at hand which Bola Ahmed Tinubu is now fixing."
"Many of the beneficiaries of what Tinubu is doing for the students should speak out. Tinubu's opponents know the truth: the man is on the right track, but ambition has clouded their judgment."
