Movie critic Tolu Fagbure has claimed that actress Tayo Sobola, popularly known as Sotayogaga, can no longer be cast as a responsible housewife or child in movies due to the permanent tattoo on her body.
He made this assertion while discussing the impact of professional training on actors' careers during an interview with Dele Adeyanju on Agbaletu TV.
Fagbure argued that Sobola is trainable but has lost her place in the industry because of the permanent ink on her arm, which she often insists on exposing through her choice of outfits.
He questioned how such an actress could be convincingly cast as a responsible wife or child, describing it as a lack of training. He noted that actors are not expected to have body markings, piercings, or permanent features that cannot be removed for a role.
"Tayo Sobola should be trained. That lady is trainable. In my own opinion, I think she has lost her place in acting because of the permanent tattoo on her arm and she would insist on wearing dresses that would expose the tattoo. And you will tell me that is a responsible housewife."
"So, will you cast her as a responsible housewife or child? This is lack of training. As an actor, you're not supposed to have body markings, body piercings or permanent features on your body. You're not supposed to have anything that cannot be removed from you for a movie role."
