Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has raised an alarm after a man allegedly stole a phone belonging to Rex Kingsley at the service of songs held in honour of the late actor Chijioke Temidayo Nwokafor, better known as Cjay Nwoks.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Arukwe shared a photo of the suspect, stating that the man attended the burial and service of songs at Redeem Church in Gbagada before stealing the phone and disappearing.
According to Arukwe, CCTV footage captured and identified the man during the theft. He urged the public to share the photo and contact Rex Kingsley with any useful information about the suspect's identity or whereabouts.
He wrote:
"This man is wanted. He attended the burial and service of songs held in honor of Cjay Nwoks at Redeem Church in Gbagada and stole @rexkingsleyok's phones before disappearing. CCTV footage captured and identified him during the theft. If you have useful information about his identity or whereabouts, contact @rexkingsleyok. Please repost and share his picture."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that Cjay Nwoks was a fast-rising Nollywood actor who passed away at the age of 30 on September 30, 2026, in Lagos.
His sudden demise was made public by actress Nkechi Blessing, who was in tears. According to her, his death occurred hours before the premiere of his lead film, 'Egusi & Ogbono', produced by Nkechi Blessing Sunday, leading the movie star to postpone its release.
