Popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has penned a heartfelt birthday tribute to her first son, Charis, describing him as her joy, her peace, and her answered prayer.
Sharing a video of herself and the celebrant on Instagram, she noted that she thought she knew what love was until he came into her life.
The powerful worshipper prayed for God's hand to continually rest upon him and for him to grow in wisdom, grace, strength, and favour.
She also prayed that he would walk in the light of God's Word, know Jesus deeply, and bring glory to His name, adding that she and her husband love him deeply.
She wrote:
"My precious son @charisnblessed, I thought I knew what love was until you came into my life. My son, my joy, my peace, my answered prayer. You are such a precious gift from God, and I love you more than words could ever explain."
"As you celebrate another beautiful year, I pray that the hand of the Lord will continually rest upon you. May you grow in wisdom, grace, strength, and favour with God and with people. May your life be a testimony of God's goodness, and may you fulfil every purpose He has for you."
"You will walk in the light of God's Word. You will know Jesus deeply, love Him passionately, and your life will bring glory to His name."
"May you be preserved, protected, deeply loved, and surrounded by God's goodness all the days of your life. May your steps be ordered by the Lord, and may you never lack any good thing."
"Mummy and Daddy love you so much, Charis. Happy birthday, our precious gift from God. Jesus be forever glorified in your Life."
Mercy Chinwo tied the knot with her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, on August 13, 2022, and their union is blessed with two kids.
