Nigerian singer Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has opened up about his approach to his career, stating that he does not rely on gimmicks to sell his music.
He made this known during a recent interaction with fans, where he explained why he is rarely misunderstood by the public.
The 'Peru' crooner noted that people do not know him well enough to misunderstand him because he does not give them much insight into his personal life.
He revealed that he avoids scandals, does not relate closely with other artistes, and does not use publicity stunts to promote his music.
"They don't know me enough to misunderstand me. I don't give them enough personality or insight into my personal life. I don't have scandals, I don't relate with other artistes, I don't sell my music with gimmicks."
