"It's Not Easy Being A Woman In This Industry"  – Skales Gives Shout-out To Female Colleagues

Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, widely known as Skales, has shown solidarity with female entertainers, acknowledging the unique challenges they face in the industry.

Taking to the popular microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), the 'Shake Body' crooner gave a shout-out to women in the entertainment space, noting that it is not easy for them.

He wrote:
"Big up all the females in the entertainment industry… it ain't easy being a woman in this industry… big up to y'all for real."

His message comes amid ongoing conversations about the hurdles female artists face. The Nigerian Voice recalls that singer Fave recently spoke about how female artists are often judged by their appearance rather than their talent.

Speaking on the Afropolitan podcast, she explained that the industry places more emphasis on how a woman dresses and looks, with people's sexual desires and fantasies sometimes overshadowing the music itself.

She also maintained that despite the disadvantages, female artists perform better than their male counterparts.
