Toyin Abraham Unveils Sola Sobowale As Second Cast In 'bestie'

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has unveiled veteran actress Sola Sobowale as the second cast member of her upcoming theatrical movie, 'Bestie'.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, the box office queen announced that Sobowale will play the character of Mama Ngozi in the film.

Abraham expressed excitement about having the legendary actress on board, describing her as a legend, the greatest of all time, and a king.

She shared a clip of Sobowale in character and urged fans to anticipate the movie's release in cinemas on December 16.

She wrote:

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Toyin Abraham announced that her upcoming project 'Bestie' is set to hit cinemas nationwide on December 16, 2026.

In the anticipation video shared on her Instagram page on Friday September 4, she showcased her previous theatrical releases, including 'Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper', 'Malaika', 'Alakada: Bad and Boujee', and 'Oversabi Aunty', before announcing the latest title.

On Monday, September 14, Abraham began the official unveiling of the cast for her 'Bestie'. In a video shared on her Instagram page, the movie star unveiled veteran actor Pete Edochie as the first cast member of the film.
