Veteran Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has opened up about her colleague Funke Akindele, describing her as a compassionate and generous individual, even though she is often perceived as strict.
Speaking during an interview on African A-List, Ronke acknowledged that Funke is indeed firm, a trait the award-winning filmmaker herself does not deny.
The Yoruba actress, however, stressed that those who truly know Funke are aware of her big heart and her readiness to support others.
She recounted how Funke extended financial assistance to her during a health crisis, though she refrained from revealing the exact sum. According to her, Funke is the type of person who gives without seeking attention or public acknowledgment.
She said:
"Funke Akindele is a good woman. She's very strict oo, even Funke herself says it that she knows she's strict, but if you know her well, you will know that despite her strictness, she is very, very kind. I'd have loved to mention the whopping amount of money she gave me while I was sick, but we're on the Internet, I wouldn't. She's that person that gives and doesn't go around talking about it. She gives and move on. She is a generously good and blessed person."
