Corona Virus: We Are Trapped Indoors; What Are We Going To Eat?---Ghanaian Students In China

Ghanaians studying in China are still not relenting in their quest to get attention from Government in pushing authorities to come to their aid.

This follows the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus which has claimed the lives of hundreds in China. Majority of those students locked up in their hostels are desperate to be evacuated at all cost.

This latest twist is coming from the parents of those Ghanaian Students in China who are torn apart and very worried.

"For how long will the government weigh its options in evacuating Ghanaian students trapped in this epidemic outbreak. Currently people have been advised to stay indoors. What are they eating in their locked rooms. It appears the virus keep spreading and the fear of being infected has caused Ghanaian students to again plead for evacuation from the government," an affected parent narrated.

Countries around the world are still putting measures in place to contain the spread of coronavirus that originated in China Wuhan.

Researchers and scientists in an attempt to find a way to end the virus do not know how long the emerging infections will persist nevertheless Chinese doctors are using infusions of blood plasma from recovered patients to treat those combating the infection by selecting patients willing to donate for the cause.

Even though this suggestive approach is positive, patients who recover from the deadly virus however, are prone to contacting it again or relapsing. The question now to be asked is, to what degree is this virus on humanity? Would it also disappear like the SARS virus?

One troubling question is, 'whether infected people can start spreading the virus before they themselves get sick'. If so, it could make stopping such outbreak much difficult.

Cleaning items such as hand sanitizer, T.rolls, facial masks and other sanitary items to help prevent being infected has become a major property for people in and around the Chinese province.

Pressures have been mounted on government by the relatives of the Ghanaian nationals caught up in the outbreak and the opposition party to prioritize the lives of the Ghanaians by the only means necessary which is to bring them home.

The death toll from the coronavirus outbreak in Mainland China has reached 1,770 as of the end of Sunday, and now up by 105 from the previous day, according to the Country's National Health Commission. There were 2,048 new confirmed infections and about 1,933 from Hubei alone, pushing the new total to 70,548.
