The PNC is awed, disgusted and visibly shaken at the gruesome and dastardly killing of investigative journalist of Tiger Eye PI, Ahmed Hussein-Suale. This brazen act of murder, adds up to the series of similar cases of killings that have rocked our nation in recent times.
The murder of the young, budding and promising Journalist is obviously an attack on journalism, Press freedom and the rule of law. It undoubtedly cast a slur on the image of our dear Ghana in the eyes of the world.
The PNC expresses its deepest condolences to the family of the slained journalist as well as the Tiger Eye PI fraternity and the fraternity of Journalists. May they find some strength and comfort to deal with the unfortunate calamity that has befallen them.
The PNC bemoans the porous security situation being witnessed in the country in the wake of these gruesome murders.
As such, we implore the mandated and relevant state security institutions and agencies to multiply their efforts in securing lives and properties of the Ghanaian citizenry.
The PNC particularly implores the state to trigger and commence investigations into the case of Mr Ahmed Hussein-Suale's death as a matter of priority and bring the perpetrators to book owing to the fact that his investigative job not too long ago ruffled the feathers of some prominent people in society who never took kindly to it. May His soul rest in perfect peace!
