Ayawaso West-Wuogon Constituency Mischief Maker Uncovered
19.12.2018 LISTEN

A sub-political undermining group subtly and covertly operating from the Jubilee House (Ghana’s seat of government) has been unearthed. The group’s main aim was to take the Ayawaso West-Wuogon seat from deceased Hon. Kyeremateng Agyarko.

Now that he is dead and gone, President Akufo-Addo’s clueless Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Opare, who is the leader of the group has swung into full gear ready to campaign and vote for their candidate.

Akosua Frema Opare has always nurtured a mind of creating a family hegemony over the constituency and wanted her daughter to contest for the seat. Obviously, the Akufo-Addo family, friends, and cronies administration mindset is what she had developed and wanted to exert over the constituency. The only difference being that Frema Opare does not go beyond promoting her nuclear family. Frema has been consistently fomenting trouble in the constituency through cash payments for people to organize and create an atmosphere of discontent in the Ayawaso West-Wuogon Constituency so she can capitalize on it to her group’s advantage.

Frema Opare, who snatched the seat from her predecessor, Hon. Isaac Amoh with loads of foul play has so soon forgotten that it was Amoh who wrestled the seat from the NDC during those bloody political struggles with the P/NDC quasi-military administration of molestation, intimidation, and brutalities on political opponents. During those politically turbulent times, Frema Opare was on the safe side of the world, in the United Kingdom. It was only when the political dark clouds had settled, and the NPP had taken over Ghana's administration that Frema appeared on the active political scene. While in London, she was never seen at NPP UK’s monthly meetings.

Now that the ‘soup’ has become only just tepid, all political ‘lepers’ have been able to dip their fingers into the cooking pot for a scoop of it.

Hon. Kyeremateng Agyarko has sadly passed away, but instead of climaxing his death, burial, and funeral with a befitting atmosphere, there is rather a struggle for his vacant parliamentary seat. Notable among the names that have come up are:

  1. Frema Opare's daughter,
  2. Mr. Frank Adusei (aka Protozoa),
  3. The ubiquitous and notorious Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, and
  4. Charles Adu-Boahen.

Charles Adu Boahen (Deputy Finance Minister and member of the Akyem mafia group) is the son of the late Prof. Adu-Boahen.

It must be made clear to all of us in the NPP that hegemony of any sort is alien to our tradition. We believe in meritocracy, and not familial-linked nepotism, sectionalism, and favouritism.

Cash for votes, a new version of democracy in Ghana, was introduced by the P/NDC civilian administration. We need to do everything possible to annihilate it when making prudent and informed political decisions on who leads us. Otherwise, we will continue making wrong choices for our representation only to regret afterwards for having allowed ourselves to be compromised with cash.

Therefore, over to you, delegates of the Ayawaso West-Wuogon Constituency.
