Rejoinder -The Political Hijacking Of Sissala East 2018 Overall Municipal Best Farmer Award part 2
11.12.2018 LISTEN

Yesterday, 10TH December 2018 I sought in a rejoinder to set some records straight in an article on modernghana.com website

Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu, the writer of the article I responded to, seems to have found himself in a quagmire and thus failed to tackle the substance of my earlier rejoinder. The writer in his usual modus operandi of conjecturing and lying, proceeded to expose his ignorance by authoring another article titled above on the same medium website

On this note, I wish to further expose his conjectures, lies and ignorance.

  1. The writer claims to have been inundated with a lot of calls. I urge him to refer to my earlier rejoinder and cure his lies.
  2. The claim of being encouraged to speak the TRUTH. Nothing can be taken as the truth when not backed by the necessary evidence. This the writer fails to meet in his two articles.
  3. Please, Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu, what is the basis of your measure of many people praised you and few criticized you? What are the numbers involved in your parochial personal assessment? What a self-praised singer.
  4. It sounds childish to conclude by the writer that, the attempt by RADFORD, a radio station in the Municipality, to measure public opinion following his unsubstantiated article, amounts to the Presiding Member, been adjudged as the best farmer controversial. I think my friend Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu needs some tutorial on the intricacies of journalism.
  5. “Almost all callers to the programme were angry about him winning the award” Mr. writer without evidence, provide the opinion poll records? Go get it from the radio station and publish to prove your point.
  6. Mr. Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu, the Presiding Member phone into the programme was in response to failed attempt by the radio station to reach him, to hear his side of the story. All what he said was in response to questions posed by the radio presenter. Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu, you rather phone in and sought to justify why the Hon. PM is not deserving of the award. You came out with your own criteria which you have demonstrated once again in your second article. You indicated during the phone in session, the number of acres, tractors, livestock etc as the criteria for the awards. Please get to the Agric office and appraise yourself with the criteria used. You will do your readers a great service, by making public the recordings of the said programme you have alluded to.
  7. Mr. Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu, you claimed that your preferred best farmer, Ibrahim, drilled a borehole for his community, Nankpawie. I hope you are not referring to the one drilled by the Hon. MP for the community. My checks revealed Ibrahim’s brother drilled a borehole for his personal used and not donated to the community as you sought to portray in your article. My checks from the community further revealed that no corn mill was provided for them by Ibrahim. The said corn mill is owned by Ibrahim’s elder brother and managed by Ibrahim’s own wife (people I contacted in the community are ready to testify).
  8. Please Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu, get back to my earlier rejoinder, there is no where I mentioned that you ORGANISED a meeting to discuss the best farmers award. This is an excerpt of what I wrote “He raised the issue of bias against Ibrahim, his preferred candidate at the recent party meeting………” Does this statement suggest that you organized a meeting? Please let us get serious.
  9. Mr. Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu, your confirmation that you sat in a meeting in which the best farmer issue was discussed confirmed my charged of the attempt to politically influence the process. In your capacity as what should you and other party leaders in the constituency in a meeting discuss a national issues of this magnitude, if you had no interest in manipulating the process? Do we expect the other political parties who are equal Ghanaians to do same?
  10. Mr. Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu, I thought you are a good muslim who is out to speak the truth all the time. Go back to what Jongi Siddique (an ardent NDC communicator) wrote on facebook and read the insinuation you casted.
  11. My checks indicates that all the bloated things listed in the writer’s article, purportedly owned by Ibrahim, his preferred Municipal Best Farmer belongs to his brother. Ibrahim’s real farm is not more than five acres, since the number of acres is your criteria (witness are on standby to confirm my claim)

It is important to note that out of the numerous issues raised in my first rejoinder, the writer only saw two issues as not true which I have thrown more light on and believe strongly that he will not attempt visiting them again. The writer is indulged in pick and choose approach to responding to my rejoinder. I expect him to do point by point analysis of my rejoinder. I hope dear readers have no choice after objectively reading his articles, than to discard the two articles of the writer (Fuseini Abdul-Fatawu) in an abyss.
