Svani Group supports Soul Clinic School With Bus

Svani Group, a leading automobile firm, has donated a 33-seater bus to the Soul Clinic International School in Accra in support of the school.

The donation of the bus, worth $65,000.00, is to appreciate the management of the school for the efforts in providing quality education to children, as the school marks its golden jubilee anniversary.

The gesture, which is to demonstrate the company's commitment to its corporate social responsibility, is part of the Group's contribution towards enhancing quality education in Ghana.

It is part of a series of donation of buses to educational, charity and religious organisations across the country, by Svani Group.

So far, Svani Group has donated five 33-seater buses and five 66-seater buses to institutions, including Osu Presby JHS/SHS, Wesley Grammar and Mfantsipim High Schools, Valley View University, Ashesi University, Kinder Paradise, Action Chapel International and Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre.

Mr Thomas Svanikier, Executive Chairman of Svani Group, presenting the bus, amidst excitement among the pupils and teachers, commended the management of the school for sustaining the vision of its founder, Reverend Vincent McCauley, a US missionary, who set out to ensure holistic education for young people in Ghana and Africa in general.

He expressed optimism that the donation will assist the school to advance its activities for the benefit of the pupils, and assured the management of continued support.

He noted that quality education remained key for quality national growth, and, therefore, the company would remain focused on supporting initiatives in the educational sector that ensures the total development of children.

'Apart from the buses we have donated various types of vehicles including pick-up trucks to a number of charity and educational organisations,' he said, adding that, more assistance would be extended to such organisations.

Mrs Salwa Helen McCauley, Executive Director of Soul Clinic International School, receiving the keys to the bus, expressed appreciation for the gesture, which she described as timely in addressing the transportation challenges facing the school.

Describing the donation as an 'amazing gift' for the school's 50th anniversary celebration, she said such benevolence would enable the school to effectively nurture the talents of the children.

She noted that the anniversary celebration, which would be climaxed on December 8, 2018, has been themed, 'A renewed mind for growth,' with the objective of stimulating the minds Ghanaians towards building an education system that identifies and promotes talent development and innovative thinking among young people.
