
Statistics from Ghana Post Company indicate that about 7.5 million people have used the Ghana Post GPS address system to search for locations in the country since its launch last year.
GhanaPost GPS is Ghana’s official digital property addressing system which covers every inch of the country and ensures that all locations in the country are addressed. With GhanaPostGPS, every location has a unique digital.
So far, close to one million people have downloaded the app with over 5,000 properties tagged with the digital addressing system.
These were disclosed by the Acting Managing Director of Ghana Post, Mr. James Kwofie, during an interaction with the media at the company's Head Office at Accra on Thursday.
"Ghana Post under the new management has done a lot and still working very hard since February 2017. Amongst the success stories is the digital address system Ghana Post GPS which has witnessed millions of remarkable usage and downloads," Mr. James Kwofie said.
Ghana Post is the company responsible for postal service in Ghana and a member of the West African Postal Conference
The Company provides postal, courier, retail, agency and financial services for its customers for profit.
The App GhanaPost GPS can be downloaded from Google Playstore or Appstore. Following the prompts on the app will help you install and generate your address.
It would be recalled that the Chief of Staff on 7th March 2018 issued a directive to all Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as well as MMDAs to adopt the digital address as the official address system for the delivery of government services and contracts.
