
Accra, Sep. 7, GNA - The Second Annual Ghana Telecom Invitational Golf Championship tees off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, September 10.
Air Commodore K.K. Pumpuni, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Achimota Golf Club, who announced this in Accra on Tuesday, said the one-day 18-Hole Stable-Ford competition is expected to attract more than 100 amateur golfers from the Achimota, Tema, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim Golf Clubs.
He said that the management of the Achimota Golf Club is doing everything possible to ensure that the Course is put in shape to ensure a clean competition.
A visit to the Golf Course by the GNA Sports saw the brown patches of the field being turned into greenie pastures with daily watering of the fields with some of the golfers sharpening up their strokes. Charles Tabi, John Sam, Lee Mensah and Dan Dennis, all members of the Achimota Golf Club had declared their intention to lift the giant trophy at stake.
Mr Oysten Bjorge, Managing Director of Ghana Telecom is expected to present the trophy to the winners.
