Accra, Aug. 19, GNA - The Dean of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ghana, Legon, Professor Kwesi Yankah has been appointed the Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University. This followed the statutory retirement of Professor Anna Reynolds Barnes, the Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University with effect from August 1, 2005.
Prof. Barnes was appointed Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor during the second semester of the 2004 / 2005 academic year to replace Professor Edward Ofori Sarpong, who stepped aside with the approval of the University Council.
