Ghana To Host Worldwide Tijaniyya Leader In 42nd Maulid Of The Founder Of Tijaniyya Order

The worldwide Tijaniyya Supreme Leader, Sheikh Sidi Sharif Ali Bin ArabiAl-Tijani, an Algerian based in Algers is scheduled to arrive in Ghana on the 31st October, 2017 to participate in the 42nd Maulid (birthday celebration) of the Founder of Tijaniyya Order.

The participation of the Supreme Khalifatul-Aam to Ghana as Guest of Honour will be his first time in the country and is an opportunity to open up the Prang area to investment and tourism.

The Special Guest of Honour to the program which is scheduled for 2nd to 5th November, 2017 in Prang, Brong Ahafo region is the President and Commander in chief of the Ghana Armed Forces H.E Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo

This year’s program which is on the theme “ Uniting the Tijanniyya Leadership for socio economic development” will attract over 500,000 members from the ten regions and neighbouring countries. Someof the Guests to this year’s Maulid willinclude the Tijaniyya Leader from Sudan Republic and for others.

The celebration was instituted by the late Sheikh AbdulaiMaikano The first National Chief Imam of the Ghana Armed Forces over 42 years ago.

His Eminence Sheikh SidiSharief, the Supreme Khalifa while in Ghana, will be hosted by the Khalifa Sheikh Ahmed AbulfaidiMaikano, the President and Supreme Leader of Tijaniyya Council of Ghana.

He will pay courtesy call on the President H.E Nana AddoDankwaAkuffoAddo, H.EAlhajiDr. Mohammed Bawumia, OtumfuoOsei Tutu and some regional ministers.
