WordDigest: Why Paul Was Not Ashamed Of The Gospel?

Why Paul was not ashamed of the gospel?
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile."

[Romans 1:16]NIV
When 'Saul' was not 'Paul', he persecuted Christians and even approved the death of some according to Acts.

When he met Jesus of Nazareth on his way to Damascus, there was a transformation.

His name 'Saul' was changed to 'Paul'.

Meaning the old character of ''Saul has gone and the new 'Paul' has come.

Now, Paul said " For I am not ashamed of the gospel....."

Why would Paul be emphatic?
Because the gospel revealed two things that transformed his life. In that;

1. The gospel contains the power of God
2. The gospel carries the Salvation from Christ Jesus to all.

Indeed it is the power of God that created everything around us.

Beloved Christ Jesus paid for our sins long ago.
So that all may have access to His kingdom.
No wonder grace from above has found you once again.

Hither and thither focus on your life in Christ and do not remind yourself of your past.

As far as you have Christ in you, do not be ashamed of proclaiming the same of Jesus and spreading the gospel in a way or two.

Be empowered.
Prayer
Christ Jesus fortify me to always do your will, Amen.

Confession
Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the soon coming king.
