Accra, Sept. 19, GNA - The Accra North-East District Youth of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church has held its investiture service with a call on the youth to be truthful and to build themselves in Christ.
The programme saw 89 members being invested from the ranks of Friend to Master Guide.
Pastor Mark Hado, the Youth Director of the Accra City Conference of the Church, who made the call, asked parents to encourage their children to stay in the Church after acquiring tertiary education to help continue with the work of Christianity.
Mr Michael Koranteng, the Accra North-East District Youth Leader, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said the young boys and girls were given training in both spiritual and physical aspects of life during the investiture.
These include bible evangelism, camp craft, beads and soap making.
Mr Koranteng said the training was to equip them to contribute their quota to the Church and the country and to be versatile wherever they may find themselves.
The programme was heralded by activities such as marching and drilling, flag hoisting, bible recitals and cookery.
