Dr Bawumia has announced three major policy initiatives at the Port Efficiency Conference today.
Effective September 1, 2017, Government has ordered the following:
- Mandatory joint inspection of goods at the Ports by GCNET and West Blue
- The Ports should go paperless
- All Customs barriers on the roads should be removed and the personnel deployed elsewhere
This takes effect from September 1, 2017
