For democracy and political freedoms to prevail there is need for people of all walks of life to show commitment in the promotion of peace. We can not say we are a mature democratic country if we are not willing to have peaceful way of doing things. Maturity and political trueness are the only elements which will adjudicate or rather ascertain that.

Politics, Religion, Race, Creed, our Sex and Tribe have played a big role in dividing our country. Because of this we have to find ways to stop this hokum or bad vice. Government, private institutions and the social/political movement must help in the crusade of exterminating this transgression.

In the event that political institutions call for this end we as a people regardless of who we are in society need to take heed and show our commitment to this cause. Remember we have young people and women who are always afraid to enter politics because of violence and promotion of hate speech.

We need to protect our children, youth and women if we have to make head ways in seeing a vibrate democracy or political sympathies in Ghana. We have to work hard as a nation.

When religious organisation or other groupings committed to bringing about peace and a just society call for activities or meetings which will help promote that unity. We as individuals or political groupings should heed the call and help to find solutions or prevent possible conflicts. It is solutions and that commitment to have peace which people are interested in.

Although meetings are important I think people want to see more commitment. This commitment should start from attending these gatherings, meeting the conditions put on the table and living and showing that allegiance.

You can not attend a meeting and not commit yourself. You can not only sign a peace accord and not live the commitment. Everything must be followed. I for one want to see a political landscape where young persons and women are free to take or play a role. We should strive to avoid psychological victimisation and fear by what we do or not do. Ghana is our country and we all want to enjoy it’s peace regardless of our age, sex, race, creed, tribe or our personal ambitions. Again it is not about you but us.

I also want to advise political parties and their leaders to be very smart in the way they conduct themselves. Let us not politicise everything. We respect you for being senior politicians. But there are also people who are not politicians. We the people are very observant in what you our political leaders do. Don’t just take it that we just look at your behaviour as news. We evaluate and we see who is a good example as a leader.

As I said it is not only about you it is about the country. Also remember that your conduct will win or lose you supporters as a leader. So be careful.

I would also like to see leaders who do things for Ghana not because they want to be seen. That is why I am a true loyalist of his excellency Jerry Rawlings. If we have to have peace before, during and after elections,We do that because of the love for the people of Ghana and for the future of our country.

I want to see political leaders who will attend meetings about peace and prayer for the people not because they want to be a Member of Parliament, Mayor, Dce or President. I want to see that you are doing or committing yourself for me as a Ghanaian. Not because you want to be seen or not to be seen doing it. This will in turn win you respect whether you are in the ruling party or in the opposition.

Political pride and chaos belongs to the Roman Empire or the Mfecane era. We are in 2017 where we long to see patriotism and selflessness in our democratic and political dispensation. Leadership is not seen by what position you have or which party you are leading or rather how man people you have in your party. For me a good leader is one who does not show pride for their position. A good leader is one who leads by positive actions and not position. A good leader is one who does things for me as a citizen and not for themselves.

Ghana needs it’s politicians, traditional leaders, religious organisation, the social/political movement, young people and all citizens as a whole to step up and work for its peace, unity and love. Doing otherwise will compromise our being a beckon of such. The One Nation we long for is possible with love. Hence peace and unity should be bona fide in us.
