Ghanaian-Switzerland Based Mabelle Prior Calls For Government Support On Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women after skin cancer. Approximately one out of eight women will be diagnosed in their lifetime with some form of breast cancer.

Ghanaian-born showbiz personality and former broadcaster call on governments in Africa to create more awareness and give treatment support for women that are affected by this deadly disease.

Mabelle made this call through ABC Foundation in Nigeria when she supported the NGO to create awareness and FREE SCREENING exercise for women and girls in Akesan town of Igando-Ikotun LCDA in Lagos State.

112 women and girls were examined and the doctors reported that 12 women (10%) are affected.

She, however, gives kudos to the organizers of the campaign and hereby encourages them to see how they can further assist the affected women to get better treatment.

Mabelle Prior is the founder and president of Miss Swiss Most Beautiful pageant which was established to empower young women.
