
Sunday, 20-11-2016 will go down in the history of Prestea as one of the memorable political health walk, that has received the biggest participation since 2000, when New Patriotic Party took over power under His Excellency John Agyekum Kuffour.
The health walk organized by Prestea branch New Patriotic Party started in the traditional town in Heman-Prestea which is the home of our Paramount Chief, Nana Nteboah Prah IV, the Divisional Chief of Prestea Traditional Area. It is good it started in the land of King Solomon of our time, Nana Nteboah Prah IV.
At exactly 6:00 am, over 2000 people, joined by Nkosuohemma Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, who has received a Muslim name from Chief Imam of Prestea as Hajia Kande Ayesha, led by Police Escort provided by our able District Commander of Police in Prestea, DSP Timothy Dassah, with New Patriotic Party Chairman for Prestea Huni-Valley, Chairman Abiam Kutu Danso walked through the principal streets of Heman, with a Public Address Sound System and a couple of Brass Band all made the walk lively and happy one.
From Heman, the crowd continued through to Prestea Ankobra, through to Prestea Sankofa, through to Prestea Krutown, through to Prestea Cemetary Road. At this point, the crowd had risen to over 4,000 adults and youthful population all wearing New Patriotic Party T-Shirts and Paraphenalia of the Party.
The momoth crown passed through to Prestea Boiler Side, through to Prestea Anfagya, through to Prestea Mankessim and finally gathered at Prestea the Point, where the Party Chairman Abiam Danso and Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi delivered their message of hope to over 5000 supported of New Patriotic Party and good people of Prestea.
There were placards held by the party supporters. Some of the things writthen on the placards read:

- Wisdom Cudjoe is a FAILURE

- Donald Trump (70 years)=Nana Addo (72 years)
- 419 sapite Asabea Roads
- Police Must be FAIR
- E.C Must be FAIR
- We need Dr. Bawumia
- We love Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi
- I am 4 Nana, I am 4 Barbara.
All these writings showed how the people of Prestea have been disappointed by John Mahama led administration that has brought untold hardship, suffering and slavery to the people of Prestea in particular and Ghana as a whole.
Lawyer Barbara Oteng Gyasi addressed the crowd at the POINT, Prestea and told them that:
- “Nana Akuffo Addo government will build a new Hospital at Enyinam for the people of Prestea”
- She repeated Nana Akuffo Addo’s pledge to build Nursing Training College at Prestea to help the people of Prestea obtain quality health care.
- She also said Nana Akuffo Addo and Dr. Bawumia have promised to establish a Pension Scheme for all farmers in Ghana, which Prestea people will benefit.
- She repeated Nana Addo original FREE SHS will be implemented Insha Allah
- She said the Collapsing NHIS will be revived.
- She assured Sankofa Gold Mines that NPP will revive the company that is collapsing due to mismanagement.
Lawyer Barbara Oteng Gyasi, who is the current President of FIDA Ghana, and Secretary of FIDA Worldwide said she is the best to represent the people of Prestea Huni Valley. She said she has practiced law as a corporate lawyer for over 20 years, working with companies such as State Insurance Company, Vivo Ghana, Unilever Ghana and Gender advocate is the best fit for Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency. Lawyer Barbara Oteng Gyasi is a native of Huni-Valley in the Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency.
She thanked the Police for the security offered her, thanked Nana Nteboah Prah IV for his leadership roles in Prestea Traditional Area and said NPP will continue to honour the traditional leaders. She also thanked all NPP supporters and entire Prestea town for making the health walk a reality and told them to vote for her and Nana Akuffo Addo.
