Pusiga (U/E), Oct. 24, GNA - The Gbewaa College of Education at Pusiga in the Upper East Region has admitted 560 new students to pursue Diploma in Education for the 2016-2017 academic year.
The 560 students would run two programmes for three years which would include General Arts and French.
Dr David Ayaaba, Principal of the College, said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Pusiga during an orientation course organized for the fresh students.
He said education is the bedrock for national development and the college is committed to ensuring that the needed training was imparted to the students.
Dr Ayaaba urged the students to see the teaching profession as a noble one that shapes and produces the needed human resource for the country.
He urged the students to be of good behavior and abide by the rules and regulations of the College.
Dr Ayaaba commended government for providing the College with the needed educational infrastructure and called on parents to play active role in the education of their children.
