An Accra based humanitarian NGO, Modern Women of Wisdom Organization, in collaboration with Vision 1 FM on 6th August, 2016 donated items worth thousands of Cedis and an amount of Cash to the orphans at Nurul Usmaniya Children's home at Fadama in the Okaikwei Central Constituency in the Greater Accra region.
The entourage led by Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah, the Member of Parliament of the constituency and Nana Ama Asantewaa Kwarkoh Chief Executive Officer of the NGO, donated clothing, Trampoline, chairs, toys, bags of rice, Tin Tomatoes, close- Up toothpaste, mosquito nets, bags of water, drinks, food and assorted items
to the children.
The Director of the Orphanage; Malam Issakar received the items and appreciated the groups for the kind gesture
done them. In his statement, he expressed that other NGOs could come and do same for these innocent children who are being housed there.
A special thanks goes to the Member of Parliament of the Okaikoi Central Constituency, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah, Management of Vision 1 fm and Unilever Ghana limited for their immense contribution to the success of this donation activity.
In their closing remarks the orphans and their caretakers recited the Holy Qur'an for Allah's protection and blessing for the NGO and all those who supported this high profile event.
