The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has shut down its power station at Dzorwulu due to the high levels of flowing rain water.
The company in an alert issued on Thursday June 9, said the move is a precautionary measure.
It said power will be restored to the affected areas later when the flood waters subside.
“ECG has had to shut down Station H at the BSP at Dzorwulu because of high levels of flowing water. This is only a precautionary measure, and power will be restored to the affected areas when the water is drained out.”
Areas in Accra affected by the shutdown included Pig farm, Abelemkpe, Dzorwulu and its environs.
