The Eastern Regional Police Command has alerted the public to an online recruitment scam and vowed to do everything to track down those behind it.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, the Regional Police Public Affairs Officer, stated that the Ghana Police Service was not recruiting new personnel online.
He therefore called on anybody who had been swindled or had any contacts with people parading themselves as recruitment agents to be bold and report them to the police for their arrest and prosecution.
He told journalists in Koforidua that it was likely some unsuspecting individuals might have already fallen prey to the fraudsters.
ASP Nketia-Yeboah called for increased public support and cooperation to bring to justice, those out there to swindle and cause pain to others.
